Behavior Modification
Behavior Modification for Reactivity & Aggression
Has your dog bitten anyone? Has your dog attacked another dog? Has your dog drawn blood with a bite? Was your dog recommended medication from a vet for their behavior? Are you scared to take your dog outside? Are you scared to have friends over at your house due to your dog's behavior?
Reactivity and aggression in dogs is no joke. It's stressful for both handler and dog. We specialize in behavior modification. No matter how severe or "scary" your dog might be, don't worry. We can help. We don't turn any dogs away, no matter how bad the aggression might be. We believe that there is always a way to help your dog. Does your dog display any of the behaviors below?
Growling at people or dogs
Barking at people or dogs
Lunging at people or dogs
Snapping at people or dogs
Possessive over food or toys
Possessive over another dog or person
If your dog displays any of these behaviors, it's time for an intervention. These behaviors will often escalate and get worse if not addressed.
There is hope. By training with Texas Canine Training LLC, you are entering a community of other clients, trainers, and resources, to support you and provide guidance as you work with your dog.
Private Lessons
$1,000 - $2,000
This is a package of either 6 or 12 lessons. These are one on one lessons between you and a trainer. You will get all the tools, knowledge, and guidance to help you and your dog through managing aggression and reactivity. The length of the program will depend on your evaluation and how severe the aggression is. These lessons will address the aggression as well as basic or advanced obedience. For a full rundown of everything included in private lessons, view the obedience tab here:
Board and Train
$3,000 - $6,000 (depending on severity)
This is a program designed for handling aggression. During the board and train, your dog will stay in a trainer's home. Training length is anywhere from 4 weeks to 8 weeks. Most aggression cases can be worked in 4 weeks, but some dogs, depending on severity, may need longer. The length of the board and train will be recommended by your trainer during your evaluation. 4 weeks is for more mild aggression, whereas 5+ weeks is for more severe situations. You will also get a private lesson per week of training your dog received to help you learn how to manage your dog after training. You also receive free maintenance training in the form of group obedience with other clients where you can speak with your trainer and continue to further your training. Your trainer will always be available by text, call, or email for tips during and after training. The board and train will address reactivity and aggression as well as teach basic or advanced obedience. You can view the full rundown of what a board and train includes here:
